In 2009, the school of marine sciences was established. Two bachelor programs, namely marine biology and coastal environment, were found at that time. Then another bachelor program (life sciences) was introduced in the academic year 2015/2016. Recently, the school name was modified to the school of basic and marine sciences to initiate other scientific programs during the academic year 2019/2020. In the academic year 2020/2021, a mathematics program was introduced. Other programs will also be established in the near future to develop the community and provide the labor market with well-qualified workers and staff in many scientific fields. Also, many scientific papers and projects were recorded since the establishment of the school which provided the community with a scientific database on different scientific fields including the marine sciences.
